After a controversial fallout with her coven, Kalila Stormfire must juggle complex clients and an anonymous critic hellbent on besmirching her new business.

The first season is currently released bimonthly starting February 2018 through August 2018. The show will follow the expanded universe through the second and third season.

Actors with remote voice acting experience are preferred, but any general acting experience is encouraged to audition. I will be working with any remote actors closely through virtual table reads.

Tentative Season 2 Recording Due Date: January 2019

Season 2 Premiere: February 2019

Mic Requirements (if outside of the DC metro area): 16-bit/44.1kHz that can be exported to WAV and MP3 (Yeti mic, H2n recorders, etc)

Please send no more than 5-minute recording of multiple takes of the sides provided for the character. You may also send a 5-minute recording of other voice acting experience. Please send audition and a short description (or resume) of yourself and your experience to and all audio should be in MP3 format.

Accessibility: If you require additional support, including Deaf or Blind accessibility to the sides/directing assistance, please feel free to reach out. I also encourage soft recording due-dates to help with anyone who needs that level of flexibility based on income, working hours, and other mitigating circumstances. I have been and am able to do last-minute rewrites to accommodate emergencies and self-care required on behalf of the actor.

Representation: I heavily advocate for more diversity in media and for that reason people of color, trans people, and people from other marginalized groups are particularly encouraged to audition. Yes, this means that trans men and trans women are both eligible to play these characters who use she/her and he/him pronouns. Nonbinary folx can play either character if they are comfortable playing characters with those pronouns. Anyone who is cast will also be encouraged to be an active part of the character-development process.

Preferred age range: 35-55 (can be younger, must sound reliably older/mentor-like)

Ethnicity: Brazilian, but I will accept other Latinx actors--especially Afro-Latinx actors.

Character Description: Gloria Sousa is Kalila Stormfire’s witch mentor, who helped train her for her initiation into the Grand Coven. She is also the head librarian at the Brushland Library. She is often overworked and worries about the young women she mentors; not just Kalila but the other librarians at the library. She specializes in herbalism and bibliomancy. She doesn’t seek out conflict, but also does not shy away from standing up to the Grand Coven or pushy local mothers who try to get access to the Restricted Section for darker magic to get back at Karen for messing up her casserole night.

“Oh gods. No, I thought she was just...doing trance work, I didn’t--Kalila what have you done?”

“It’s the fifth time she’s tried to get access. Tell her that we do not condone using our restricted collection as means for cheating, even if it’s just the Fall Regional Cook-Off and Bake Sale for Brushland Northeast Elementary.”

“You do not have the right to use her Name. Her Name no longer belongs to this coven. It is for this reason that I state you have no jurisdiction to bind her, and if you do I will have to stand as witness against the Grand Coven for violating the very same bylaws you claim to uphold.”

Preferred age range: 35-55 (can be younger, must sound reliably in that range)

Ethnicity: Any

Character Description: Clarence Twinner is a fae changeling, and he goes to great lengths to hide it. It is mostly a source of embarrassment but it is also a marginalized status. His is quite shy and absent-minded, but he is also kind. He loves three things; his dog Nala, his vegetable garden, and the beautiful Dominican stranger who coaches the neighborhood boys across the street at the basketball court every Sunday.

“Miss Agnihotri, I apologize for the mysterious communication. I did not want to just show up at your door. I have found that it is usually bad manners to show up late at night to talk to a relative stranger who lives alone. In any case, I wanted to let you know I saw what you did for Huang’s Corner Grocer. A lot of people talk around here, and everyone was very surprised to see perfectly ripe pears and tomatoes and dragonfruit delivered to our humble little block. Well, they do not gossip much to me. I am like you--an outcast. Despised at worst and tolerated at best. But I am good at catching secrets. I am most interested in hearing about yours. It was a very kind thing you did. I wanted to thank you on behalf of the neighborhood, even if no one ever really notices. I wanted you to know that I did. I like a good salad every now and then, too. P.S. - Please let me know if you have any good spells for enhancing soil quality or dog biscuits to calm a particularly energetic Collie.”

“Nala never leaves the kitchen while I’m at work. Even when my Aunt Janice comes over and visits, Nala refuses to follow her into any other room. She wouldn’t have just left. Besides, the door was locked when I got in and there was no other living thing other than Nala the lizard!”
